The Joint Warfighter Innovation & Transition Consortium (JWITC) helps the Department of Defense move commercially mature and dual-use technologies from demonstration to deployment by improving acquisition readiness, clarifying transition paths, and aligning solutions with warfighter and program office needs.
The Problem
The United States does not lack defense technology innovation. It lacks reliable pathways to transition proven capabilities from prototype to production and sustained operational use.
Small businesses often demonstrate value through pilots and OTAs, then stall due to unclear transition ownership, misaligned requirements, and acquisition timelines that exceed commercial realities.
What JWITC Does
